Charles (Chuck) Yanikoski - Co-Founder
Chuck is CREWS’ systems architect and creator of RetirementWorks®. Chuck Yanikoski has been deeply involved in retirement planning - with a principal interest in what happens when people get close to, or into, retirement age - since the 1990s.
Chuck is founder and President of Still River Retirement Planning Software, Inc. (StillRiverRetire.com) and its consumer subsidiary, RetirementWORKS, Inc. He is also the principal founder of the Association for Integrative Financial and Life Planning (AIFLP.org) and co-President of the New England chapter of the Life Planning Network.
He started his career at the home office of New England Mutual, where he worked in the policyholder services, corporate planning, investment, financial, and marketing areas. He then became a systems developer for American Financial Systems in the late 1990’s, where he met Steve Richards. At the end of 1999 he founded Still River.
Chuck attended Harvard College and the University of Chicago Divinity School, and retains an interest in research, scholarship, and writing. His financial articles have appeared in MarketWatch Retirement Weekly, the National Underwriter Income Planning eNewsletter, Annuity Association News, DSG Dimensions, The Integrative Adviser, and Aging Well, and he has made presentations on retirement for the National Tax Sheltered Annuity Association, the New England Employee Benefits Council, and the Society of Actuaries. He has been active on committees of the Society of Actuaries dealing with retirement issues.

Steve Richards - Co-Founder
With more than 30 years in pension related organizations, first as a non-qualified deferred comp and COLI software entrepreneur--and now in the defined benefit plan space--Richards is an authority and innovator in the pension de-risking business.
Through CREWS, and its sister organization Corporate Executive Strategies (CESBoston.com) Richards acts as a consultant to plan sponsors, participants, and intermediaries to support their efforts.
Passionate about helping participants make the best decision at lump sum election time Richards is dedicated to the idea that participants deserve more options, more time, and more help in making their all important pension vs lump sum decisions, which can affect lives and loved ones, forever. With the tools and processes he co-develops he helps participants get the most out of their retirement planning options, especially when it comes to securing sufficient funds to cover their retirement expenses.
Richards earned his bachelors with a double major in economics and finance from the University of Miami (FL), his CLU and ChFC from the American College, and his MBA from Babson College where he was also awarded the Douglas Prize. Most recently he studied economics and theology at Yale Divinity School from 2013-2016 as a student and researcher.
